Welcome!
On behalf of the California Law
Enforcement Association of Records Supervisors (CLEARS), I
welcome you to our Website. I am Lisa Lorton, from the Corona
Police Department and I have the honor of serving another year
as the 2008 CLEARS State President. CLEARS originated as a much
needed alliance joining together law enforcement agencies
through out the state, to provide training and standardization
within criminal justice records management. Our organization is
over 500 members strong, comprised of members from Police
Departments, Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrol, District
Attorney Offices, Probation Departments, Courts and other
criminal justice agencies. CLEARS has 7 Chapters throughout the
state. As a CLEARS member you will have the opportunity to
attend monthly training meetings that focus on technology
updates, legislative updates and continuing career development
of professional supervisors and managers through resourceful
networking.
An Annual Training & Technology
Seminar is held in the fall of each year. The seminar agenda
showcases classes from the Department of Justice, the Department
of Motor Vehicles, legislation updates provided by our CLEARS
Lobbyist Nick Warner, as well as many other speakers training on
professional development related topics. This year’s seminar
will be held October 20-24, at the Marriott San Francisco
Airport in Burlingame. The theme for 2008 is “Building
Bridges.” Be sure to check this website frequently for more
conference updates.

CLEARS welcomes those who work in the
